Cancer Season aka Birthday Season

My birthday is coming up on July 21, and this year feels a little different from the last.

It’s my first birthday since launching Azelie Swim—this little brand that’s quickly becoming the biggest, boldest thing I’ve ever done. I’ve always loved birthdays (Cancer Sun, Leo Moon), but this one feels more like a marker of change. A new chapter. A new year, in more ways than one.

Starting Azelie Swim has been equal parts terrifying and exciting. I launched this brand with my heart wide open, no guarantees—just a vision, a lot of late nights, and the belief that there’s a space for swimwear that feels effortless, comfortable, and cool for women like me and the people I love.

And the support? It’s been unreal. Friends who’ve sent feedback, reposted launches, shown up at events, texted me when they placed an order, or even just asked how it’s going—that means everything. Each message, each order, each little moment of encouragement has reminded me why I started this.

This birthday, I’m not just celebrating me—I’m celebrating growth. Of this brand, of myself, of learning to take up space and go after something even when it feels scary.

So here’s to 30-something (still wrapping my head around it), to summer birthdays, to new beginnings, and to all the bikinis, beaches, and bright ideas still to come.
